If you're looking to launch a career or upgrade your skills in the healthcare field, then phlebotomy could be a good training option for you. The phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team who obtains patient blood specimens by venipuncture and micro-collection for testing purposes. Phlebotomists are employed across the healthcare system.

We welcome you to this information session where we will review the classroom components at Lake Region and Fryeburg Area Adult Education and the clinical experience at Bridgton Hospital, payment plans and resources for financial assistance, and complete the registration paperwork.

Phlebotomy class eligibility includes being age 18+, holding a high school diploma, and a 239 CASAS score. Those with a Bachelor's degree do not need to take the CASAS.

Duncan Perry is a multi-instrumentalist who has been performing and teaching the ukulele for 17 years. Duncan will introduce you to essential chords and playing skills using familiar songs and a no-stress learning approach. Plan on lots of laughs along the way! The uke is small and portable, and playing the uke is both fun and good for your brain. All you need to join this Zoom class is a playable ukulele, electronic tuner or tuner app., and computer or tablet. Instructional materials included.
