This course by BoomerTECH Adventures is a step-by-step guide to taking beautiful photos. It is packed with easy-to-follow instructional videos that explain and demonstrate how to use your iPhone/iPad camera. This course is made for you if you are learning to use your camera for the first time or if you want to significantly upgrade your skills and abilities. This course is not to make you a professional photographer but will teach you how to take excellent photos! And have fun. You will learn how to use your camera to take photos, portraits, slo-motion, panos, and more. You will learn about camera settings for focus and exposure, High Dynamic Range (HDR) to adjust light in photos, and finally composition. In addition to the step-by-step instructions, we offer inspiring photos to illustrate the tips and suggestions in the instructional videos. This course by BoomerTECH Adventures will show you how to get the most out of Apple’s powerful Safari browser. Your iPad is the gateway to the world when you open the Safari app. Safari, Apple’s browser, is superb because it provides a variety of cool features. The Safari iPad app has some differences from the iPhone version. (See our separate course for iPhone, “Unlock Safari’s Secrets on Your iPhone in Just Five Lessons.”) In this course, you will learn what the icons on the top menu do, explore all of the choices on Safari’s opening page, review efficient search strategies, look at the hidden possibilities within the share feature, learn the advantages of reader view, and more. After completing the five lessons you will be a confident user of Safari on your iPad. This course consists of step-by-step videos that explain and demonstrate how to use Zoom as well as appropriate instructional tips to build an engaging online course in any subject. You will learn everything you need to know about Zoom—tools, settings, security, instructional strategies, building community, Zoom tips for instructors and students, and much more. Digital Tools for the Beginning Memoir Writer

Each of us has a story to tell. However, the memories of red marks on our school essays often keep us from sharing our stories. Fortunately, the digital world offers planning and editing supports unavailable in the past. This course will show you how to use these tools and others to unleash your creative self. This course introduces you to a variety of digital tools that support writing your memoir, even if you are a bit uncomfortable writing for an audience. There are seven videos that concentrate on different aspects of the process you will probably use to write your memoir. Each video discusses several helpful digital tools or websites. Expressing one’s thoughts, feelings, and perhaps even secrets is a daunting prospect for most of us. These digital tools will remove some angst about the mechanics of writing and allow you to concentrate on your content and message. Dough Bowl Candles & Glass Lanterns

Join Jenn from Candlewood for a fun and creative evening making two crafts! We will use dried flowers and nature debris to create stunning, decorative pieces that add a touch of nature to your home and make the perfect gift. You will learn to craft beautiful, aromatic candles using delicately dried flowers, soothing scents, and natural ingredients to make unique and charming dough bowls. You will also learn the art of Decoupage, transforming a simple glass jar into a stunningly adorned and scented lantern. Students will take home both beautiful and functional pieces. Supplies fee: $10 to be paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class.

Hatha Yoga

Everyone can do some yoga, and, with very little instruction, you can begin to practice your focus on breath and holding postures. Yoga can be helpful with managing pain, improves your posture, tightens and tones your body, increases circulation, strengthens the back muscles, and helps with anxiety. Students should bring a yoga mat and a towel or light blanket. Wear loose clothing suitable for exercise. This class is for the beginner to experienced yoga student.
